About Motiva Breast Implants

Motiva breast implants feature SmoothSilk® surface technology and ProgressiveGel® ULTIMA to closely resemble the look and feel of natural breast tissue. This technology also reduces the risk of complications, including capsular contracture, implant rupture, and tissue ingrowth. Preparation

Dr. Elie Levine will outline important preparation instructions during your consultation. These vary for each patient depending on their goals and medical history, but it is advisable to suspend the use of blood-thinning medications and supplements, stop smoking, and abstain from alcohol. Dr. Elie Levine recommends filling any necessary prescriptions ahead of time and, if necessary, completing any necessary lab work.

Additionally, please arrange transportation to and from your procedure, prepare a comfortable recovery space, and schedule time off from work to recuperate. Procedure

After you receive anesthesia, Dr. Elie Levine will make precise, strategic incisions in your breasts, typically along the breast crease or bottom edge of the areola. Depending on your surgical plan, Dr. Elie Levine creates a pocket above (subfascial) or below the chest muscle—or uses a dual approach—and inserts your implants. (3) He completes your breast augmentation with specialized scar-minimizing closure techniques for discreet, barely visible scars.

Recovery

During the initial stages of recovery, patients may experience temporary swelling, bruising, or tenderness. Dr. Elie Levine provides long-acting pain relief to reduce initial discomfort, and you will wear a compression bra to minimize swelling and protect healing breast tissue. Dr. Elie Levine recommends that you:

  • Sleep at a slightly reclined angle to elevate your head and shoulders
  • Take time off from work and activities for one to two weeks
  • Avoid more strenuous activities until receiving clearance from Dr. Elie Levine
  • Attend all follow-up appointments so that Dr. Elie Levine can monitor your recovery and address any questions or concerns that may arise
